The Veteran match between GM Viktor Korchnoi and GM Wolfgang Uhlmann ended in a draw with 2-2. Uhlmann won the first and fourth game and Korchnoi won the middle games of the match.
The Rapid tournament which consisted of five rounds was won by GM Vladimir Kramnik.

GM Hikaru Nakamura, U.S. won Zürich Chess Challenge 2015 Rapid/Classical combined after a decisive tiebreak in a single armageddon game against Anand which decided the whole event. Nakamura was black and won pretty easily with a nice pawn sacrifice …e6-e5 which liberated the double edged bishop on d7. Eventually this bishop captured an exchange on g2 while the other bishop trapped a rook on c1 with …Bd2. Nakamura recently won the strong open tournament in Gibraltar and now he had another triumph in Zürich.
