The 4th Vladimir Petrov Memorial pays tribute to one of the greatest players of Latvian Chess. Vladimir Petrov (1908-1943) was the winner of Kemery 1937, equal with Flohr and Reshevsky. He died tragically in the Soviet camps during WWII.  The tournament starts 7-8th of March in Jurmala, Latvia. It's an 11-round Swiss with the time control 15 min. plus 6 sec. increment. The first round begins at 15.00. The top is incredibly strong with nine players rated more than 2700.
