40th Harkány Tenkes Cup International Chess Tournament

Venue of the tournament: Cultural Centre of Harkány (Művelődési Ház), Harkány, Kossuth L. u. 2.

Type of tournament: FIDE 9 rounds in Swiss system

Organizer and main sponsor of the tournament: Town Council of Harkány Each player has 90 mins for the whole game + 30 sec after each move (for the first 40 moves), then until the end + 30 mins + 30 sec extra time after each move! Delay time: 30 mins! Opening ceremony: on the 17th of November 2:20 pm.

1st round: 17th of November 3:00 pm.

2nd round: 18th of November 3:00 pm.

3rd round: 19th of November 9:00 am.

4th round: 19th of November 3:00 pm.

5th round: 20th of November 10:00 am.

6th round: 21st of November 3:00 pm.

7th round: 22nd of November 3:00 pm.

8th round: 23rd of November 3:00 pm.

9th round: 24th of November 10:00 am.

Closing ceremony: right after the 9th round

On the 20th of November at 4:00 pm. in the Harkány Spa a grandmaster-simultan tournament will be held, registration free of charge is available only until the 19th of November 3:00 pm.

(guaranteed only if minimum 100 players attend)

The prices are taxable, only for players with a valid tax number and TAJ-number (Social Security Number) may be given a prize! In case of tie Hort-system will be used. Extra prizes (door prize/prize in kind):

Best player under 18 (in case of minimum 5 players)

Best woman and best player from Baranya County (in case of minimum 5 players)

Best player over 65 (in case of minimum 5 players)

Prizes Group B: 1st – 4th best players will be given special door prizes! Extra prizes (door prize/prize in kind):

Best 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th class players recieving no prize (in case of minimum 5-5 players)

Entry fee: Group A: 0000 – 2000 ELO rating/ 9.000 HUF 2001 – 2200 ELO rating/ 8.000 HUF 2201 – 2400 ELO rating/ 6.000 HUF from 2401 ELO rating/ 4.000 HUF players with GM, IM title may attend for free Group B: 7.000 HUF for all players regardless of their ELO rating The entry fee includes free of charge admission to the Harkány Spa!
