Vietnamese success at First Saturday Budapest

A new born Vietnamese GM won the First Saturday Budapest GM event this month proving that his GM title is really not only results of some occasional performances. GM-s dominated the event leaving no rooms to any title norms for the candidates.

Nobody could achieve IM norm in the IM section too but Hoegy Kevin (GER) was really close to it. The absolute winner of the group was Tran Minh Thang of Vietnam gaining as much as 130 rating points thanks to the new FIDE rule of K=40.

The absolute winner of the lower rating group was an 11 years old young talent of Hungary, Ongur Tamas Gunes. He started regular trainings with coach IM Sandor Farago (HUN) about half a year ago with spectacular results.
